  I have been to two services at this venue and each time I felt like things just got worse in the years between visits. My grandmother died and her service was there, this was a few years ago, and the place was bleak (even for a funeral home) and grimy. Then my dad past a few years later and nothing had changed; this time the the office staff seemed even more unorganized and unapologetic for their missteps. When I was in high school I had a summer job delivering flowers and on many occasions I found myself delivering flowers to funeral homes, many of them as old or older than Evergreen Staples and they were beautifully maintained. I think of Evergreen Staples as the low end of funeral homes with prices reaching for the stars. Their suggestion of cheap boxes, as urns (my cat's remains are in a nicer box from the veterinarian) and horrible looking stationary for the announcements was insulting. I realize that it might be easy to write off a review of a place that you only visit when you are grieving, however I would say that it is the time that you should expect and receive superior service in a pleasant atmosphere.
